I had the pleasure of doing portraits last week of Liv, Paige and Meagan!  Of course, it helps when your models are so darn cute!  Here's a few from our session.

Recent Publications: Design NY

Earlier this year, I had a few photos published in the 2009 edition of Design NY magazine. The shoot was for a NY interior designer, Carol Schaper, who had fully designed a 12,000 Ft. Myers Beach house. Needless to say, the place was gorgeous! I also had the pleasure of working with Kat and Phil from Kat's Meow Studio who had done all the artwork and finishes in the home. The result was a 2-page article highlighting Carol's work on this project. Here is article:

Life-Size Kids

Recently, I had an assignment to shoot some student portraits for a local elementary school.  These weren't the normal type of school photos, they were going to be used to decorate the walls inside the school.  I took a few hours setting up a backdrop and some lights in a classroom, and we got to play around and have the kids do different types of poses.  The principal had a few ideas on what she wanted, but then we got to have fun and let the kids improv a little.

This was the first time I had a request for life-size cutouts, so I researched several companies that printed them.  We ended up going with Wallhogs, and their quality and customer support were both outstanding.  I got to go into the school a few weeks ago and check out the finished result.  They topped off the photos with hand-painted words which I think made it even more fantastic!  Here are a few snapshots of the school halls.

Website Launched!

My long-awaited (by me anyway) website has finally been completed!  After months of hard work and procrastination, I officially launched it last night.  Here is a screen shot:

I'm sure there will be a few tweaks over the coming weeks, but I think it's definitely a huge improvement over my previous one.  Plus, the best thing is that I will be able to update photos regularly and easily.  Now that this is "finished" (is it ever really finished?), I foresee more regular blog posts in my future.  Until then, I may give my eyes a break from staring at this computer screen for a few.

Recent Publications: Golf Illustrated May/June 2009

Another issue of Golf Illustrated hits the stands this month. I think this is the 6th issue that I have shot for over the past year or so, including a cover shot last year. I just got a new scanner hooked up recently, so I thought I'd start posting things that have been published on here, and I'll start with this since I just received it. These articles that I shoot for are primarily golf instruction, so the shots are correspondingly "instructiony". I have done, what I thought, were some pretty cool shots, but of course, those aren't usually the ones that get published. But, of course, they only have so much room and I'm sure that the editors know their readers are more interested in improving their golf game than looking at pretty pictures of people golfing. Maybe showing off the unchosen photos can be a blog post in the future.

P.S. I have a sneaking suspicion that the first photo of the golf ball is not mine (yes, the one directly to the right of my name!) I did have many shots of ball impact, so I first thought they had cropped in tightly on one of those. But, I don't think that he was using a driver,
which is clearly what is in the photo, so now I think it may be an impostor. But, it's interesting to look at, so until further proof has surfaced, I will include it here with this disclaimer.
